So, yesterday I went with Save the Children to do a shift of bagging to fund money for the charity at Morrison in Gyle center .. while I was bagging the girl on the till moved her sleeves up only so I can see her tattoo on the inside of her arm. And oh my god, I can’t express the happiness-shock I received out of that glance. She had Arabic calligraphy that translates to: “Faith, Love, Family” and it was decorated with some flower .. I chatted with her about it and she said “I thought it was beautiful” .. I just couldn’t believe that was happening .. right now I’m starting to understand the scene .. and I wish I got to know her more ..

To explain: I have done calligraphy for over a decade of my life and then I moved to Scotland where I was skill-less because it’s a different language obviously .. I lost hope about this and start thinking about other possible hobbies like different kinds of sports .. Volleyball for example. Truth is: one can not simply replace passion .. it’s not that easy .. and then out of sudden there is this girl who loves the way Arabic is written #faith in humanity restored
